10 AM Worship Service - Sunday School
NOTE: we have not yet been able to organize regular Sunday School services. If you would like to help get them started, please read the notice below and contact Anne or Mary.
---
After consultation with families and the vestry, we are trying to offer a new service starting in Spring 2008: offering children a Sunday School in the room at the rear of the church.
Sunday School is still in its infancy and is be like a one-room school. The clergy have pledged to lead the lesson once a month, so that the children and clergy know each other. Mary Wells, our vestry representative and a parent, has developed a schedule for parents and teachers. We need to have two people with the children each Sunday—a leader and a helper. If you would enjoy this ministry, please speak with Greg Ward or Mary Wells.
Children will join the whole congregation at the Exchange of the Peace and will be with us for the Eucharist.

St. Dorothy's Rest
- Diocese Center for Conferences or Camp Retreats
For over a century, our diocese is blessed to have St. Dorothy's Rest, a wonderful facility for retreats, conferences, and summer camp in Occidental, CA. Several charming buildings can house groups ranging from 8 to 65 people in semi-private rooms. A group of 50 people may reserve the entire facility. Bathrooms are "down the hall", and each retreat building has a meeting room with a fireplace or woodstove. There are also secluded outdoor meeting areas, and a lovely old redwood chapel.
Though easily accessible from the Bay Area, entering this peaceful place is like returning to a simpler, gentler time. Perched amidst redwood, fir, and madrone trees on a hillside overlooking a valley, it is close to both the Russian River and the Pacific Ocean, in Sonoma County. The quaint old town of Occidental, with its shops, restaurants, and historic buildings, is just a mile or so away.
Visit www.stdorothysrest.org for pictures of St. Dorothy's facilities and details.
