Family Ministry
St. Paul’s Children, Youth, and Family Ministry Charter
To assist the parishioners of St. Paul’s in fulfilling their baptismal vows, so that children will grow to be faithful followers of Christ, we:
Treasure each child as a gift from God
Inspire children with the story of God’s love
Embrace questions
Support families in the spiritual nurture of children
We have a wonderful new Sunday School program and team of adults ready to welcome children into our faith community. Our goals are to nurture children’s faith, build friendships, and provide them with experiences with our liturgical tradition, Bible stories, and mission to promote social justice and environmental stewardship in the world. We meet in St. Paul’s House (home of St. Paul’s School right next door to our church) from 10:00 until approximately 11:00 when we join the congregation for the Eucharist.
Wendy Cliff, our new Family Ministry Coordinator, came to St. Paul’s in September and will be working with the Family Ministry Team and any interested parishioners and newcomers to develop a comprehensive Family Ministry program that invites all children, youth, and families into the full life of the parish. For more information, feel free to contact Wendy at family@stpaulsoakland.org.
