Rector
Our Interim Rector is the Rev. Anne Jensen. You may contact her via email at: Rector [at] stpaulsoakland dot org
Anne grew up in Yakima, Washington ; she earned her BA and MA at Stanford, married Doug and lived in Rhode Island, Georgia, Texas and Minnesota before moving to Connecticut to attend Yale Divinity School. She was ordained a priest in 1989 and has served in a wide variety of congregations. For the last ten years she has focused her ministry on parishes in transition.
She moved from Connecticut to Oakland two years ago when her husband Doug had the opportunity to change offices. Since both she and Doug grew up on the West Coast, it was a kind of a homecoming, but the real draw was grandchildren. Anne baptized her granddaughter Katie at St. Paul's three years ago, and has attended St. Paul's when she was not "on duty" elsewhere.
For fun, Anne enjoys reading, cooking, gardening, doing yoga, walking and sharing time with family and friends. She has three adult children, two of whom are married and live in the Bay Area and the youngest lives in Santa Monica.
St. Paul's is currently searching for a new Rector. Find out how you can participate in the rector search committee.
