Stretch Your Gift Further!
With an Employer Match or give Stock, Mutual Funds, ETFs, from your DAF or  your IRA

If you choose to make your donation through one of the methods below, please notify us once the transfer is complete, and indicate how you would like your gift to be designated (e.g., Annual Pledge or a specific ministry), so we may properly record your intent and provide you with an acknowledgment.

EMPLOYER MATCH: Double your impact!
Many companies offer matching gift programs that can increase the impact of your contribution to St. Paul’s!
  1. Check for eligibility: Ask your company if it matches gifts, and if so, ask  HR for limits and guidelines.
  2. Donate – If St. Paul's qualifies, make your donation and keep proof of your gift.
  3. Submit – Send your receipt and match request to HR or CSR, then confirm the match.
  4. Please notify us once the transfer is complete and let us know your gift designation (e.g., Annual Pledge, Organ Fund), so we can record it properly and provide acknowledgment.

GIVE STOCK, MUTUAL FUNDS, or Exchange Traded Funds
Support St. Paul’s by donating appreciated Stock, Mutual Funds, or Exchange-Traded Funds. Doing so can help you avoid capital gains taxes and may allow you to take a charitable deduction for the full market value of your gift.

DTC Transfer Number: 8862. Receiving account name:  St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 114 Montecito Ave., Oakland CA 94610.
  2. Have your broker transfer the assets directly to St. Paul’s account.
  3. Please notify us once the transfer is complete and let us know your gift designation (e.g., Annual Pledge, Social Justice), so we can record it properly and provide acknowledgment. Send an email to [email protected].
Your gift helps sustain our ministries and mission in the community.

GIVE FROM YOUR DONOR-ADVISED FUND (DAF)

A Donor-Advised Fund allows you to recommend charitable grants from your fund to St. Paul’s, making your giving simple and flexible while providing potential tax benefits.

How to Give?
  1. Contact your DAF provider (Fidelity, Schwab, Vanguard, etc.) and request a grant to St. Paul’s.
  2. Search for St. Paul’s by Tax ID:  94-1243684.
The organization name will display as “Protestant Episcopal Church in the Diocese of California," NOT “St. Paul’s.”
Important: Ensure the Tax ID and address match:  94-1243684 and 114 Montecito Ave Oakland CA 94610.
  3. Mail to: St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 114 Montecito Ave Oakland CA 94610.
  4. You may claim your charitable deduction in the year you make the donation to your DAF.
  5. Please notify us once the transfer is complete and let us know your gift designation (e.g., Annual Pledge, Social Justice), so we can record it properly and provide acknowledgment. Send an email to [email protected].
DAF gifts help sustain St. Paul’s ministries and make a lasting impact in our community.

OVER 70-1/2? GIVE FROM YOUR IRA!

If you are age 70-1/2 or older, you can make a gift directly from your IRA to St. Paul’s through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). This gift can count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and could reduce your taxable income and tax liability.
More information is on the IRS page HERE.

How to Give?
  1. Contact your IRA plan administrator and request a Qualified Charitable Distribution to St. Paul’s.
  2. Please provide your administrator with the following information:
Legal Name: Protestant Episcopal Church in the Diocese of California
Tax ID Number: 94-1243684. Address: 114 Montecito Avenue, Oakland, CA 94610
Important: Search using the full legal name, address, and tax ID number above—NOT “St. Paul’s.”
  3. Mail  to: St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 114 Montecito Ave Oakland CA 94610.
  4. Please notify us once the transfer is complete and let us know your gift designation (e.g., Annual Pledge, Social Justice), so we can record it properly and provide acknowledgment. Send an email to [email protected].
