St. Paul's Legacy Society

Picture
We are now in the fourth year of recognizing the St. Paul's Legacy Society. We have 14 members who have included St. Paul's in their estate plans with a financial gift provided at their passing.

No one escapes death, but everyone can prepare for it.
The first thing to do is to ensure you have an up-to-date will.  There is a web site called Freewill.com, where you can create a will, for free, in as little as 20 minutes. They work primarily with nonprofits to help people create their wills in hopes that  favorite charities might benefit from bequests provided from some of these wills. For California residents, they also offer ways to set up a revocable trust and offer instructions on how to provide beneficiary designations for assets such as IRA's, 401l's, and life insurance that may not be included in a will or trust.

Other important things to consider as you prepare for the inevitable are:
- A health care power of attorney
- A list of income sources and debts plus how to access these accounts
- Investment information
- Mortgage and lease data
- Insurance policies, and
- Funeral plans

It's important to share this information with your loved ones so that there are no surprises after your death.

Please join us! We hope you will take the time to consider giving a future gift to St. Paul's and sustain our mission to future generations..

Faithfully,
Doug Jensen
